Four (4) Service Options For Practice Owners & Sellers
1. Dental Practice Appraisals. Multiple, logical methods combine to determine fair market value, with comprehensive reports that clearly present and document the value rationale and calculations for both buyers and purchase loan lenders. (To see a sample, click “Sample Appraisal” box on the left of this page.)
2. Practice Sales — 3 Service Options:
A. Full Service Brokerage. For practice owners wishing to locate a buyer and structure their sale and transition. Among the advantages of our unique practice listing services are:
¨ Free Preliminary Consultation—(Click “Free Preliminary Consultation For Sellers” box on the left of this page for details.); ¨ Non-Exclusive Listing Agreement — While we market your practice, searching for your buyer, you remain free to sell your practice yourself, and owe no commission if you do so; ¨ Sliding Scale Commission Structure — Practices with higher values and selling prices receive significant commission discounts, preventing the exorbitant commissions that large practices incur with common fixed rate commission structures; ¨ Unique Practice Marketing & Advertising — State specific. Designed to reach the most likely buyers for your practice; ¨ Purchase Loan Sources — Increasing the chances that sellers can receive full payment at closing. (Click “Practice & Equipment Loan Sources” box on the left of this page for more details.); ¨ 15+ Years’ Experience — Increasing your chances for a successful sale and transition.
B. Seller Consultation / Guidance. Fixed fee (not commission) services designed to guide and assist practice owners in structuring and completing their practice sales to potential buyers that they have already met / located, including but not limited to sales to associate dentists employed by the practices. Services provided may include, but not be limited to:
(i) Practice Appraisal—to establish the practice’s fair market value; (ii) Assist the buyer in analyzing the appropriate practice information & data; (iii) Develop a sale and transition structure that meets both parties goals and objectives, and that is financially feasible for both; (iv) Assist in negotiations, and mediate attorney and accountant input; (v) Using our 15+ years experience, help develop sale contracts that contain the provisions required to protect both parties; and, (vi) Assist the buyer in finding the most favorable purchase loan terms.
C. Intermediary Services. Services for both practice sellers and their buyers, designed to guide them through a successful sale and ownership transition. (See “B” above for service list.) Fixed fees shared by buyer and seller.
3. Associate Addition Transition Structures. For owners who wish to add an associate, leading to a future sale and ownership transition to the associate. Planning and guidance designed to structure the associate’s addition to the practice, the future sale, and any post-sale period in which the seller may wish remain working with the practice. Services should be sought before the associate first begins work, but can in most cases be retrofitted to associates already employed by the practice.
4. Associate Recruitment. Services to assist in recruiting associate dentists who will in the future move into an ownership role.
